Your Isabel SmartCard

A digital Isabel-certificate will be granted to an Isabel-user once this user fills in certain formalities: (s)he has to go throught the certification procedure to receive a digital certificate containing personal data and a personal password, linked to his/her Isabel SmartCard. Only then will the digital signature have the same juridical value as a handwritten signature. The Isabel digital signature guarantees the authenticity of the person using it, but also the integrity of the exchanged messages (the guarantee that nothing was edited during sending).
